Account Deletion

Effective: 6 June 2026

This page explains how you may request the deletion of your Lngual account and the personal information associated with it. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed once it has been completed.

Delete Your Account from Within the App

The fastest way to delete your account is from within the Lngual application:

1. Open the Lngual app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account enters a grace period during which you can restore it by signing in again. After the grace period ends, your account and personal information are permanently deleted from our systems.

Request Deletion Without Accessing the App

If you are unable to access the Lngual application, you may request account deletion by email. Please send a message to support@lngual.com from the email address associated with your account, including the following information:

• Subject line: Account deletion request
• The email address associated with your Lngual account
• Your account name or username, if known

We may need to verify your identity before processing the request. We will confirm receipt of your request and complete the deletion within a reasonable period, typically within thirty (30) days.

What Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following personal information is removed from our systems:

• Your account credentials and authentication records;
• Your profile information, including name, photograph, biographical details, language preferences, and other profile content;
• Content you have created, including posts, comments, events, and direct messages, subject to the limitations described below.

What May Be Retained

Certain information may be retained where we are required or permitted to do so by applicable law, or where retention is necessary for legitimate purposes, including:

• Anonymized or aggregated information that no longer identifies you;
• Information necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our terms;
• Information related to safety, security, or fraud prevention, including records concerning accounts that have been suspended or banned for policy violations;
• Limited records of communications you sent to other users, which may remain visible to those users to the extent necessary for the integrity of those conversations.

Delete Specific Content Without Deleting Your Account

If you want to remove certain information without closing your account, the following options are available from within the Lngual application:

• Posts you have created: open the post, tap the three-dot menu, and select Delete Post.
• Comments you have posted: tap the three-dot menu next to your comment, and select Delete.
• Gallery images: open Edit Profile and remove the individual images you no longer want shown.
• Profile photo and background image: open Edit Profile and replace them with new images.
• Profile fields such as bio, country, interests, and languages: edit or clear them at any time from Edit Profile.
• People you follow: open the user's profile and tap the follow button again to unfollow.
• Other users you no longer wish to interact with: open the user's profile, open its menu, and select Block User.

To request deletion of events you have created, or any other deletion request that cannot be completed through the application, email support@lngual.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject Data deletion request, and describe what you would like removed. We will confirm receipt and complete the request within a reasonable period, typically within thirty (30) days.
